Bosnia and Herzegovina is not an EU or EEA member, so this isn't a free-movement destination the way Slovenia or Bulgaria increasingly are.
Visa Policy: What You Can and Cannot Do
Working legally requires a work permit, applied for by the employer through Bosnia's Ministry of Civil Affairs / cantonal employment services, tied to a specific job and employer. Non-EU/EEA nationals need this regardless of visa-free tourist entry, which many nationalities (including EU, UK, US, Canadian, Australian) get for short stays but which does not cover paid work. The process is bureaucratic and employer-driven — there's no self-sponsored or working-holiday route.
Practical Reality for Seasonaires
Bjelasnica doesn't have a large, established international-seasonaire hiring pipeline the way Austria or France does — most staff are locally sourced, and English-language job postings aimed at foreign seasonaires are uncommon. If you do find an employer willing to sponsor the permit, the very low cost of living is a genuine draw.
