Terskol and Cheget villages provide basic everyday amenities (shops, cafes, a cinema), but this is genuinely remote: the nearest international airport (Mineralnye Vody) is 170km away, and transport logistics will be a friction point from day one. Monthly rent averages 13,000 rubles, which is cheap by Western ski standards but reflects the reality that accommodation is typically basic and shared; staff housing specifics aren't well documented, so expect to negotiate directly with employers or landlords. You're not moving to a buzzing ski town with a strong expat infrastructure—you're moving to a Russian mountain village where you'll need to be self-sufficient, speak some Russian, and be comfortable with Soviet-era living standards. Groceries and everyday costs are low, but isolation is the trade-off.

Information on the seasonal worker community here is sparse, which itself is telling: unlike the Alps or North America, Elbrus doesn't have an established international hiring pipeline or documented staff accommodation system. Jobs likely exist in hospitality, ski instruction, and lift operations, but the workforce is predominantly Russian, and the "seasonaire scene" as you'd know it from Chamonix or Banff essentially doesn't exist. This is not a resort for beginners learning to ski—the terrain and culture are expert-focused—and it's not a place to build a tight-knit international crew.
